You may have heard rumblings of a new conference in documentary family photography circles over the past year … The Storytellers Photo Conference. It’s a 3-day conference from May 5-7, 2019, in Miami Beach, FL, featuring some seriously incredible photographers, documentary family and photojournalists alike. The hosts have intentionally crafted an intimate group of global speakers, giving attendees a chance to learn from a broad and diverse scope of experiences.
Co-founder of the Documentary Family Awards Kirsten Lewis Bethmann is speaking at the conference as well as previous DFA judges Ryan Jones and Niki Boon. As this genre gains momentum internationally, we have seen a robust group of talented photographers emerge. We are excited to team up with a conference dedicated to educating this growing community.
In addition to the conference, we are excited to announce that a collection of 50 photographs selected from your submissions over the past 2 years will be displayed as a feature exhibition over the course of three days.
