The live-streamed broadcast of the final round of the Spring 2021 Awards is a highly anticipated three-day online event.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
During our Live-stream Broadcast you will have a chance to view the finalist selections of the preliminary-round judges as Song Tae Chong, Kristin M. Young and C.W. Griffin curate a final gallery of award winning photographs.
This final round of judging is a transparent, three-day process that is constructive and engaging, aimed at helping photographers grow in their craft. As the judges narrow down the photos in each category, they will discuss what makes a great documentary photograph or series and the reasoning behind their final selection of award winners and honorable mentions.
Our live judging broadcast is free to the public while it is being live-streamed. Anyone who submitted to this round of the DFA’s will also receive a free subscription to re-watch the recording of the broadcast.
We hope you join us as we review the inspiring work of your fellow photographers and watch the announcements of the latest DFA winners!
If a photographer cares about the people before the lens and is compassionate, much is given. It is the photographer, not the camera, that is the instrument.
