Award-winning photography by Diana Feil

Diana has always been a storyteller at heart. In her 'former' life back in Germany she used to direct TV shows and documentaries. Moving to Los Angeles allowed her to re-invent herself as a lifestyle and portrait photographer. The transition was a natural extension of a passion that had always been a big part of her life - she grew up watching her father developing photos in the family's bathroom. As a child she would spend hours and hours going through family photo albums. A background in filmmaking gives Diana’s portraits a unique twist. Her photo shoots are rarely static and her images are infused with light and intimacy. Diana knows when to pull back and let her subjects tell a story and when to come close and capture raw emotion. As a patient observer who is open to the unique process that each session requires, Diana’s goal is to allow her subjects to show their authentic selves. Diana has always been passionate about street photography. Her latest project documents the resilience and courage of her adopted hometown. "Until Further Notice - Angelenos Under The Lens" is a look at how Angelenos deal with a life during a pandemic.
