Award-winning photography by Charlotte Hueso

I'm Charlotte Hueso, a documentary photographer who has recently started documentary family photography. I live in Nottingham UK with my Husband Adey, my stepdaughter Amber and my youngest daughter goes by the name Choo-Choo-Magu. I grew up in rural Lincolnshire but moved to Nottingham to attend drama school. From there I studied music production and had a stint as a singer but a camera found it's way back into my hands and I decided to follow my heart and went back to study photography and digital imaging. I am drawn to shadows and pockets of light. I'm fascinated by visual language. I enjoy looking at photos nearly as much as I enjoy taking them.

The Documentary Family Awards is an international competition in search of the insightful and meaningful ways that documentary photographers explore the interpretation of family.
